1.1.2. processing power needed -- increased?

Ok, I've got 1.1.2. running and I'm playing a full orchestral piece that I was playing before on my Mac Mini. It was playing fine with 1.0.0.

But now with 1.1.2. the piece basically grinds to a hault after a few dozen measures -- sounds like the processor can't handle it. I checked and I have the reverb turned off (I'm running an external Roland to save processing power)

Does 1.1.2. eat up more of the mac's resources? Or is there something I can turn off to make it work?

* 1.1.2 defaults channels to stream from disk

You have to turn streaming off channel-by-channel (expert mode).

Ah...yes! Good idea. I will do that and try again.

Ultimately I know I'm up against the limits of the Mac Mini. I'm just messing around for now and will move on to a more serious platform once it is that I know what I'm looking for.
