Is it just me or this program is not really intuitive?
Here's my problem:
I have 1300 Yamaha DX7 patches in my document and everything
is sorted in alphabetical order. How do I create different banks??
I need to have a bank for all my horn sounds, basses, FX, etc...
Sure there are keywords, but I also need to have banks that are not
"sound type" oriented. Let me explain: When I perform live, I need to be
able to load a different bank of sounds (of different types) for every song... Like:
-Bank1/Song1 (Synth, horns, bass, harmonica, strings, violin, etc...)
-Bank2/Song2 (Pad, guitar, sitar, drums, sound FX, etc...)
-Bank3/Song3 .....
-Bank4......
Now I see 1300 patches in front of me and the only way to classify them
is with keywords?? Can't be it... There must be a way of creating banks and dragging the sounds I want in them!
There's no "create bank" menu, no "add to bank" option on the sounds.
Please help
Thanks

You can also organize all of your patches and banks in the midnam patchfile using a program like CherryPicker.
This won't make any difference to how they are actually organized inside your synth - but it will change what you see in DP's patch popups.
Since most patches are usually in your synth's ROM, this is the way to go - Unisyn cannot actually move your ROM patches around inside your synth, only the RAM ones.
Check out the documentation for CherryPicker's 'custom banks' and 'auditioning' features. (It's online at: www.alterspective.com/cherrypicker)
