Sample Rates

Is it possible to set the sampling rate to 48 if you're using a powerbook without an external audio interface? Thanks for your responses.

i think it depends on the rev of powerbook. my g4 1.67ghz will let me do so, yes.

I see. I have a 17" G4 1.33

Do you know if it's possible on my machine?

Thanks

go to audio MIDI setup in applications/utilities. make sure that you're showing settings for the internal interface. in the lower left hand corner of that window, you'll see the input settings, and probably a pulldown option for sample rate. if 48k is there...then you can do it :)
