downloading files

Post by obliou »

Sometimes when I click on a link to download an Mp3 file from the internet it opens and plays in safari instead of downloading to my hard drive... how do I save it without using a right click mouse?

Thanks,
Tyler

And for other types of files, ctrl-click(hold) the link and select what you want to do from the contextual menu that appears. That would be the equivalent to a right-button mouse click.

You can Option+click the file you want.
It'll download to a specific place you set up in Safari.

... or open activity window of safari, find and copy the mp3 which is playing and past it into the download windows (it's a good solution sometimes when you can't find other way to download a file)
