Can you change input/ output names of an aggregate device?

Post by Styme99 »

Does anyone know how to change the names of the different inputs and outputs of an aggregate device? Im using an 828 and an 896 with cubase sx3 on a mac g5 running tiger, and i was told to set up an aggregate device to get both sets of inputs/ and output in cubase. when i bring up the inputs/ or outputs they are labled:
Aggregate device 1
Aggregate device 2
Aggregate device 3
And so on.
I would like to rename these for quicker locating. any suggestions?

You can only name them yourself in the VST Connections window in Cubase. Set up/create your I/O bussing and name away--don't forget to "save" your preset when you're done. It can be tricky to find the cooresponding In/Out at first, but once you've figured that, they will show up properly in your channel inspector.
You can also save various bussing presets too which is helpful for different recording situations.
