I am certainly NOT a Hardware Computer wizard.
I am finding that my system is struggling to cope with larger amounts of Music Data. e.g. in CUBASE SX3 the Cursor that follows along as you Playback stops and starts instead of flowing easily. This happens when I have say CUBASE SX3, MSI and EWQLSO Platinum Strings running?
In essence my question is "How do I increase processing power.
1. Can U get faster processors than the current P4 3.0 GHz and I also have 2 GB Ram and 2 * 112 GB Drives?
Or can Computers be slaved together so the processors from each Computer can integrate together to give 2 * P4's, 3 * P4's etc.
Which is the best way to go and most $Cost effective?
Thanks
More CPU Power?

Yes & Yes
Thanks papageno
I was actually expecting a little more than 'yes' answers?
e.g. How do I slave computers together in the most $Cost effective way?
Thank you

Re: Yes & Yes
BTW, I answered your 2 questions correctly. These were the type of questions that require yes/no answer.composer2005 wrote:I was actually expecting a little more than 'yes' answers?
To use multiple computers together you could think on MIDI Over Lan to distribute MIDI signal between computers and then you need to route digital audio back to a "master" computer running sequencer. I have done so between Mac and PC computers with good results.

Ok papageno,
I had better call into a Computer store next time I visit the City and ask them, it is all a bit involved for me?
Thanks again

New system!
I have now purchased an Athlon 4400+ Dual Core with 2GB Ram and 3 * 250 SATA drives and an external 200 GB drive and have it networked to 2 other P4's with 2GB Ram and another combined Terrabyte drives!
