Binary MAS Version of MSI?

Help!

I have been struggling all day to get Symphonic Instrument to work with
my DP5. I have a MacBook Pro, an UltraLite, DP5 and now MSI. I have
downloaded all the Universal drivers and updates needed.

I think my problem is that MOTU has yet to release the universal
version of the MAS version of MSI. I can get MSI to work as a
standalone - so I can at least play with the sounds, thank goodness.
But I can't figure out a way to get DP5 to recognize it has a plug-in
it can use. I did the easy install of MSI. Is there a way to get DP5 to use the AU version of MSI? Every time I have tried to install the plugin into
DP5, it skips the AU version of MSI, with a notation in the log that says it
should use the MAS version. Should I reinstall MSI and do a custom
install and not install the MAS version, since it doesn't work w my
laptop anyways? (Tried that - didn't work.)

Paul, this issue has already been discussed in several threads here.

Use Bidule to host MSI for now, the trial period is 3 months.

Thanks - I'll check it out. I actually did a search on the forum for my issue but did not find the threads you mention, even now when I searched for just "bidule".
