MSI.dat location

Hi, this has probably been addressed, but anyway: Is it best to keep the 7.87GB MSI.dat file on another HDD other than the Mac/Applications HDD for better performance? I have another SATA HDD installed in my Mac G5 for audio. Should I copy the library file on there?

If you're loading the samples into RAM, the location of the DAT or the speed of the hard drive it's on really isn't important. But if you'll be streaming from disk, you should consider placing the DAT file on a dedicated drive.
