LogoDesignGuru.com has done a few jobs for me and clients - always very good. We do all our heavy stuff in-house though. If you want a referral, let me know.

Wonder,

I am a web designer and would be happy to speak with you regarding your new site.

You can view my portfolio here: The Design Core

If you like what you see, drop me a line and we can discuss this in further detail.

Thanks.

If you're somewhat capable on your own, you can get really cool flash-enabled sites from a few places like hotplum.com, templatemonster.com and others. Sites run from $10 to $60, but you have to have the software to edit it.

My advice? Buy a template and hire a web guy to insert your data.

I designed and built my site. There are benefits to years of graphic design and animation experience. Check it out:

www.imperialgocart.com

It's not 100% prime time (I'm putting up new mp3s and Quicktimes this weekend), but it's good enough to air.

You need to have Flash installed and JavaScript enabled on your browser to open all the windows correctly. Otherwise, all you'll see is my HTML splash page -- which is pretty dull.

JavaScript's automatically toggled on by default in Safari, Firefox and Explorer preferences. And nearly all browser's work with Flash. Just an FYI.

I know this is an old thread, but I have to give a shout out to my friends at Boom Design Group (www.boomdesigngroup.com). Full disclosure - these are good friends of mine - but the partners are musicians and artists focused on doing great design FOR musicians and artists. It's really beautiful material that they design, and definitely worth a look through their portfolio.
