Seems to be okay, but it didn't fix an ongoing issue I'm having with Pro Tools and Console 1. That was fixed for one brief shining moment with 14.5 Public Beta 3... then never seen again.

Well maybe it's RC1 and not the release? Didn't say RC1 as I recall when I got the notification.

Yeah it's another beta. I haven't installed it yet, and when I turn off beta updates it disappears and says my beta is up to date.

Yep. 23F79 is the RC.

After asking around, I saw no reason to avoid and decided to install it — no difference between it and beta 4 on my machine, a good thing. I updated my TechLink but am not declaring victory until the general release —Apple normally does those on Tuesdays.

I just dabble with Pro Tools but I have had an ongoing problem with projects containing an instance of Console 1 getting stuck during opening, requiring several attempts to load. That issue disappeared with Beta 3, then came back to stay (so far) with Beta 4. Ugh.

macOS 14.5.1 beta is supposed to drop tomorrow. Even though I have some non-Kontakt issues, I’m a-gonna pass on that.

That and the corresponding Monterey update are standard Security updates. I've already udated my wife's Macs without a problem.
