Mixing Board size question

Post by frisb »

My DP 11.31 mixing board keeps defaulting to a much larger size than I need. I resize it to fewer channels but each time the file opens, it returns to a mixing board with more blank space than channels (see attachment). Does anyone know the solution to this?

Main screen or external monitor? It makes a difference. If external, how is it connected?

Thank you. It is my main screen on both my MacBook Air and my iMac.

Just to make sure... do you have the Auto Resize option checked?

I leave Auto Resize unchecked so that my Mixer stays the way I want it.

Monitors on Apple silicon have some definite issues and this solves a few of them for me. When checked, my mixer goes from this on my side display

Me too. Just sort of taking a shot in the dark as to what might help solve the problem.

Thanks James & Mike -I appreciate your help. I have the issue regardless of whether or not the auto resize is checked. It sounds like it’s an Apple display issue. I will try writing MOTU. I can’t be the only one with this issue.

In the OP it shows the mixer being opened in the Consolidated Window. Won't it always be the case that any tab in the CW will be full size including dead space? If you pop the mixer out of the CW and size it, create a Window Set. When you call up that Window Set the mixer should be sized correctly.

Thanks for your reply. You were correct! I popped it out of consolidated windows and it is staying put now. Thank you!

It probably won't be persistent if you close the floating mixer window and then pop it out again. Create a Window Set and you should be able to get back to the sized mixer regardless of opening/closing windows or the project.
