lagtime from keyboard

Post by midilance »

Why would I, all of a sudden, get a lagtime from hitting keys. I'm running the same buffer (64) and now I have lagtime that I can't get rid of.

When that happened to me, I discovered that having RX in my signal chain when tracking was the problem. Some of the modules have look ahead functions—bypassing didn't help, only removing. There are other look ahead plug-ins, of course, but RX Advanced modules were in my templates.

I fixed this by making new templates that had one channel with the problem plug (I never track to this one) and the others without. After tracking, I can either drag the plug from the one channel to the other or option-drag to copy (copying to 30 tracks takes a few seconds). The settings move or copy over with the plug.
