Waves plugin not loading

I've got lots of old and new Waves plugins.
This time I downloaded the SoundShifter as a demo to see if it'll work in my old computer. Mojave 10.14.6.

The plugin is 8 years old so I thought it'd be no problem. So I downloaded the V13 version but DP (9.5) won't load it. Doesn't even see it.

Was on with Waves tech support but the guy sort of gave up on me.

Any ideas?

If you look around here you’ll see a few threads discussing difficulties installing Waves plugins that are not all the same version. One thing you have to do it make sure you have installer packages for the older versions of plugins you might still use when you install something at a later version.

I recall there is also some doubt as to whether Waves even officially supports DP, and even if it does, you’d have to wonder about Waves 13 with DP 9. I also use 10.14 and my most recent Waves plugins is from V10. I recall not trying out any newer plugins from Waves because I could not establish that they would work on my system.

For the most part, if you aren’t keeping up to date with the more recent Waves versions, and the OS versions and DAWs it support, you’re probably SOL.

I'm familiar with the problem with different versions of Waves.
So far I've been able to run everything from V9 to some 14. It works most of the time.

But this is the first time I wasn't even able to get DP to load it.
Even after 15 minutes with the live chat.

Solved.

Waves V13 plugins don't have a demo mode. Sure wish the tech support I chatted with knew that.
Anyway, they were nice enough to activate the plugin for 7 days so I can test it in my system.
