DP11 Crash on Hide Takes after Comping

Post by HCMarkus »

Anybody else seen this?

Show Takes
Comp
Hide Takes... immediate "Poof, DP gone" crash.

If I Save the file before trying to Hide Takes, DP will still crash when I Hide Takes, but when I reopen the project, I can Hide Takes without issue. If I don't save before trying to Hide Takes, the comping is gone, unless Auto Save happened to capture my work.

I have tried with plugins on and cleared. Doesn't always happen, but usually does.

Travis at MOTU has my crash logs; he couldn't replicate the crash yesterday.

I would open the Activity Monitor and see if you can drill down to find the culprit — something should turn red if there's interference and you might be able to find the offending .kxt or app.

Console.app will reveal the culprit if something's not loading correctly but knowing which packet to open and expand is a nightmare anymore and has been since El Cap.

I'll give that a go Mike. Thanks!

I have seen that markus. Exact same scenarios. Took to flushing undos, right before doing Hide Takes. If i recall that may have stopped it. But its been awhile now so not 100% sure
