MOTU UltraLite AVB mic Latency

I'm having delay/latency that doesn't appear to be of the standard latency issues. It affects my microphone(s) ONLY.

I use Logic and I have NO issues with soft synths, etc. If I make ANY adjustments to the MOTU UltraLite AVB Control software, I get a delay in my mic/headphones. After much investigation, I've eliminated the standard latency issues.

I must reboot the unit several times before the delay goes away.

If I change monitors; delay. If I open Logic and another audio-related program; I get delay. Reboot, reboot, reboot, reboot. Eventually, if I reboot the MOTU UltraLite AVB enough, the "latency" goes away.

Latest drivers/firmware/whatever installed.

Right now, I don't want the expense of buying another brand. Why is this "latency" happening?
