FEATURE REQUESTS

Post by abysalvinthomas »

Hi.
i have some useful feature request for Motu DP.

1. "WARP GRID" ( a tool for move grid to a particular position. It has already in Cubase)
2. Object FX (Object-soundbite Based fx and Aux send.It has already in Magix Samplitude)
3. Soundbite Based Automation (Draw automation upon each soundbite)
4. Monitor Control (useful for headphone and monitor control profile plugins like SONARWORKS,WAVES NX MIXROOMS)

How can i send these suggestions to the motu DP developers for future updates..?

Not sure what warp grid is, but look up “Adjust Beats” in manual. It might be similar.

WARP GRID
it's a feature ... (tool) can move Grid or beat to a desired position.
Hope you check warp grid in cubase.

WARP GRID is too useful in background scoring ......
we can move ...drag a bar to a desired video position to the exact synchronisation

That's very cool.... good idea to write to MOTU about it. This is a board about DP... not a Cubase promotion board. Nothing against Cubase... I own it also. MOTU doesn't monitor this board too much, so again best writing to them at the address I mentioned. Maybe send them the link to this topic if you don't want to compose an email restating the issue.

If one uses the "find tempo" tool that ONLY DP has to find the best tempo to hit your markers that you imported from your spotting session...one should not have to "warp the grid" or what DP calls "Adjust beats" to hit things.

set markers
assign importance
find tempo (setting a rough tempo window to search)
search by the .25 beat.
change sequence to that found tempo. It will tell you how accurately you hit your beats to the frame.
then...begin to write the cue.

Or

If you still want to have a tempo track that changes a lot...use DP's "Adjust beats." It is the same thing.
Regards,

Brian Ralston

You should be able to set this up with a Bheringer FCB1010. That company usually makes cheap knock offs, but the FCB1010 is great, you can assign all of Polars parameters to the footpedals and hopefully have what you need.

Region Edit/Split Note/Custom Stutter Curve

Select a long note, choose split note which will break it in to a series of faster notes--- but also have a curve so that it can accelerate or decelerate those notes across the duration.
