Vienna Ensemble Pro and Composer Tools Pro On Mac Silicon

Post by whittymusic »

It seems the long awaited VEP on Apple Silicon has arrived which is great news for composers. However, for us that are using Composer Tools Pro, the MKRecallSend Plug in is NOT Silicon compatible which means you can only use it (STILL) in Rosetta mode. This is highly disappointing as DP is probably the worst daw when it comes to CPU handling of large scale composer templates. Its not any fault of MOTU either as the MKRecall plug in is VST2 and can only be seen in Rosetta mode. The Composer Tools Pro website says it is compatible with Apple Silicon but truth be told only the MK Connect and Lemur Daemon app is but not MKrecallsend which is needed to use your ipad for all the cool articulation switching and controlling all the other features.

If someone has a work around (No not using articulation maps, or Touch OSC) to use CTP in DP Apple Silicon version I'd love to hear.
