I can't even that this is still a thing. It's been two months since I reported it initially. Expired certs are not cool.

Although one can set their clock back to September and uninstall 10.01, I discovered that if you already installed 10.1 then uninstalling 10.01 breaks the "Welcome" screen in 10.1, throwing a script error and removing all the javascript links. The only solution is to uninstall 10.1 and re-install it, as using "Repair" in 10.1 does not fix this problem. I have reported it to MOTU tech support by phone this morning.

Also told them how the certificate issue prevented uninstalling 10.01, not only installing, and they were not aware of that and confirmed it.

So, two bugs added to their logs. We'll see if they update the certificate and place the resources the 10.1 "Welcome" screen uses somewhere different from where 10.01 puts them (and removes them).

At least that was a quick easy fix albeit annoying. Time change worked.
