Global Track Layouts
I work with a large, custom Template and wonder if I am able to set up Global Hot keys for custom track layouts in a multi chunk project - instead of having to set up new hot keys for each chunk.
In my situation, I stay in a very large template with everything I may possibly need already set up and ready, but in a given project, once I have chosen my palette, I create specific track layouts with the sounds I will be using. I then assign hot keys to each (ie. Strings, WW, Brass, Perc, and other combinations of those chosen instruments that I may want to isolate quickly). The problem I run into is that if I have a set of these layouts for the sonics of a large project, every time I move to a new chunk I have to set up the same hot keys all over again ...for each chunk. ***Is there a way to do this globally for a project so I could move from chunk to chunk and just go to work with my hot keys. In a Film project, this would be so helpful!
Thanks

Re: Global Track Layouts
Perhaps you can accomplish your desired end result by creating a "template chunk" (your first chunk with your key commands) then duplicating it in your project before you really dig in. Duplicate the "template chunk" as you need more chunks.
Re: Global Track Layouts
Also, can MOTU make it so when you add new tracks, there is a way to add them within the layout so you don't have to reassign the short cut?

Re: Global Track Layouts
You should write to MOTU with a Feature Request. As great as this forum is, it is not affiliated with MOTU (although the folks at MOTU have been known to peruse here from time to time, maybe regularly, who knows?)
Re: Global Track Layouts
Thank you.
Re: Global Track Layouts
I will reach out to MOTU. The issue is that when duplicating the chunk, it does not duplicate the Hot Keys.
