Insert Setting Organization Tip
Hey.......
For my current album project, I have become very fastidious about managing my insert settings, so tracks sound as similar to each other as possible. After saving um-teen versions of each, the insert setting menus have become unwieldily.
Fortunately, I discovered that it's easy to make my own sub-folders for insert settings, which makes things much more manageable. On Mac, navigate to HD->User->Library->Application Support->MOTU->DP->Insert Settings Presets->MAS and then choose the appropriate folder for the type of track you're using (Audio, Aux, Master, etc.). Within there, you'll find your saved insert setting presets. Just add a folder and give it an appropriate name and drag the presets into it. Voila!

This is a great tip Rick, and just when I needed it!
I'm doing the same thing trying to get these organized.
Cheers

Hey—glad it helped! It's helped me to make sure my tracks don't sound like they were all recorded separately.Killahurts wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 8:56 am This is a great tip Rick, and just when I needed it!

Thanks for the reminder. I stumbled across that awhile back and even posted about it—then promptly forgot it ever existed.

Re: Insert Setting Organization Tip
Nice!! I did something similar a while back with my favorite VIs/instruments and set up a hierarchy using the Insert Settings. I organized them into folders so I could recall a specific VI with a specific preset/instrument loaded by recalling an Insert Preset. Kind of a Komplete Kontrol alternative without the benefit of audio previews.
