trying for almost 24 hours now, and not solving the issue.
tryed reinstalling the Motu drivers several times...tried out other stuff.
here is what happens
for WDM the T-MK3 has the option to create stereo pairs for it's analog IO; this works.
but as soon as I opt for the combined WDM device 8-channel IO things get problematic.
I get no sound in Foobar, can't use WDM in REW, and Spotify also doesn't work. For some reason audio in browser works.
as far as I can see the problem is that the list of accepted formats for the device is empty (see white box on the bottom right that says taxas de amostragem = sample-rates):

the phones device continues to work, as it is stereo. all those digital device work if they are stereo. if I set one of the toslinks to Adat (which is multi-channel too) the same problem appears.
what could be happening here?
probably the driver's fault?

I just read that even the new Motu interface drivers still can't create a proper multi-channel device in Windows?
