Consolidated Window questions

Post by Freddy Bloggs »

Is it possible to make the mixer window always keep the same specific tracks showing. Sometimes they're there, but then sometimes they sync with the Sequence window. Ideally each window would show the specific tracks I want & be independent of each other. I do use the track selector window in those windows, see attached pics.

Is there a pref in the consolidated tracks window where I can dbl click on a track & it opens the Sequence window & automatically moves to the track I clicked on?

Of course I can do it all manually but those short cuts would be quicker.

There is a way. Magic Dave explained it once. I didn’t understand it then and don’t now. There is a preference involved, and a particular way the track selection panels are set up. It works here — when I change windows what appears in the track selection window changes. I don’t know how I did it and don’t want to experiment in case I mess it up.

Yes, confusing. It’s some combination of scroll track to selection and use the window track selector in preferences. It works differently if the window is popped out of the CW or if you’ve made selections in TO and move to the SE or Mix from there. Try messing with all that.
