NI Apple Silicon Compatibility

I received an email from Native Instruments about their timeline for M1 compatibility. You can read it here:

Pretty crazy, but apparently NI had a graphics framework for most of their applications going back 15 years. So it's going to take them a long time to rewrite all their interfaces for Apple Silicon, VST 3, resizable GUI's for modern 5K monitors etc. etc.

I'm glad Kontakt is AS ready at least, but Reaktor would be great, looks like almost another year before that happens. :x
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.

I see a number of their effects are now AS, as well as K7. I got the K7 player and will play with it, but for now I'll be sticking with K6, as I'm not interested in Komplete.

I have a couple upgrade paths: to Komplete 14 Standard for $199 or Komplete 14 Collectors Edition for $499 (ok, Ultimate is available to me for $599 but spending more to get less makes no sense at all—might be because I owned Standard through 12 and upgraded to Collectors Edition with 13).

Since the only new library I would want in CE not available in Standard is SESSION GUITARIST – PICKED NYLON that I bought separately a couple years ago, I think I'll save my $300 this round. Maybe… still on the fence. CHOIR: OMNIA and EAST ASIA are tempting. I'm thinking. I'm thinking…

Yesterday, Native Access said that it was installing Kontakt Player 7 as one of the 25(!?!) libraries and effects that were being updated. This morning, I noticed that the full version of Kontakt 7 was installed and authorized instead. :woohoo:

I'm still going to spend the $199 or $499 today as it apparently is the last day for this sale. You might want to run Native Access first to see what happens.

Update: PayPal Credit will extend the $499 over 9 months interest free so $58.44 mo. Not sure I will turn that down. Ok, I didn't—you all probably saw that coming.
