DP 10.13 and Mac Os 12.4

Post by difab4 »

Rather hastily, for the benefit of another app, I upgraded imac 2019 i9 to Monterey 12.4.
After exploring going back to 10.14.6 decided to see what would happen to use DP10 with 12.4.
I have found no issues, it works fine, had to mess with a few preferences to get back to where it was with Mojave but very minor things. (like click preference)
It may not be true that you have to upgrade to DP 11 to use Monterey.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this. The only reason I'm still on OS 10.15.7, is because I don't want to update to DP11 (for now).

I'd love to hear if anyone else is doing this successfully. Has anyone tried this combination and had negative results?

MOTU Digital Performer 10 Specs
Supported Operating Systems Windows 7 Windows 10 macOS 10.11 macOS 10.12 or Later
Who says it isn't compatible — some know-nothing armchair expert in a YouTube video?

If you have an Apple Silicon Mac and want to run Native, that requires DP 11.

DP 10 should run over Rosetta 2 but I haven't tested that on my M1 — oh wait, I think I did and it worked.

Ha!

Don't get me started. They also say that many of our interfaces no longer work—even though they do—when the truth is that they're not supported which is correct.

Did they really say won't work or is it not supported?
