Always have to reconnect my MOTU MIDI Express 128 before using it

Hi,

am I the only one having to disconnect and reconnect my MIDI Express 128 in order to have it recognized by my DAW? I'm using Cubase Pro 10.5 on Windows 10. I have the same issue on my two computers (one laptop, one desktop), tested with and without a powered USB hub, and using different USB cables. Last thing left to test is to connect it to a USB 2.0 port instead of 3.0.

This is so annoying though, especially since I have to reach the back of my rack case everytime, while a power switch on the front panel would have been so helpful.

Anyone is experiencing the same issue or have any suggestion?

Is it a power management issue? Try turning off for usb hubs and the MIDI Express.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have already turned that option off for all the USB Root Hub devices, but I realized there are other generic USB Hub devices, so I just turned it off for all the devices.

Will give it a try and check if the issue happens again.

It seemed to work at first, but today I had the same issue again... :(
