cloning to a new system HD (SSD)?

Post by williemyers »

hi folks,
I haven't done this in a while and I can't recall the proper way? What I'm talking about is that, on my MacBook Pro, I'm cloning (CCC) a Mac system HD (SSD) - with DP 9.5.2 installed on it - to a larger one that will be the system HD for this laptop. Do I need to "de-activate" the DP install, then "re-activate" it on teh new drive? Or just clone & use?
Seems like MOTU's authentification was tied to the motherboard of the computer, but I can't recall?
thanks in advance
DP 9.52(OS 10.13.6), PTools 11.3.3, Sibelius 2021.12,

couple o' hardware synths, loadza legal libraries
Kurz Midiboard, MOTU MTP AV

Not an issue. Since DP 8, MOTU’s licensing scheme allows the two most recent installations and deactivates anything older automatically. You do not need to do anything. Make sure that you use the exact email, user name and key code that MOTU has on file. Use dashes instead of minus signs.

Mike, thank you so much!
Just one question, if I may?:

would that be the "option minus"?

??? The key code doesn't work if you use minus signs from the key pad instead of dashes. I used to forget that and wonder why the license wouldn't enter properly.
