Sounds like a Problem with your Samplerate/ System Clock.

It could also be a buffer size that's wrong somewhere.
Notice how it's slowed down.

It happens a few times a day and I have to open to motu control and ticket or untick

Use lowest latency safety offset tick or untick to make things work again

Should I return this device ?
Thanks in advance

Sorry to offer "annoying" advice. Have you installed the latest driver software? And, have you updated the firmware on the device itself. If the device is on the latest firmware, it will probably just say something like "You're up to date.".

There's a new option in the latest drivers to sync Windows sample rate. Without knowing what software you are running and how your system audio is configured, I would try checking or unchecking that. A background app or Windows itself may be switching something behind the scenes. If you are using the M4 for both Windows system and ASIO audio it's always good to set the same sample rate for everything.

In the M4 Control App check or uncheck the sync to Windows sample rate option - try both settings. If M4 Control is not displayed, you get to it from the bottom right Windows notification area - right click the M and select Show. As far as how your apps and system audio are configured, you might want to check the forums for those apps.

I see , You mean this?

Image

It was already checked by default.

I do not mind playing with sample rate and buffer size for the problem to go away however I can't spend the rest of my life
checking and testing :smash:
Thanks in advance
