What does the 'Auto' button on the AVB mixer compressor do?

What does the 'Auto' button on the AVB mixer compressor do?

Ultralite AVB - it looks like the compressor 'Auto' button may have been added since the manual was written because it's not mentioned in there and it's missing from the screenshots. Can anyone confirm what settings this changes/automates?

It is not about auto compression it is technically another functionality
