Brainworx bx_bassdude factory presets not showing in DP 11.01

So, when I use Brainworx's bx_bassdude plugin, it doesn't display any of the factory presets. Tried both VST2 and VST3 format.

Of course, bx_bassdude works correctly in Ableton Live 10, Reason 11 and Roland Zenbeats. So, it seems to be a DP issue with VSTs. MOTU TechLink has been filed.

Anyone else experience this or have any tips?

This is on my Windows machine -- hence in the Windows forum.

I was able to 'fix' (fool) the VST3 issue:
1) Disable VST2 version of bx_bassdude plugin
2) Enable VST3 version of bx_bassdude plugin
3) Copy the factory VST3 presets to: \users\[username]\Documents\MAS Presets\Plugin Alliance\bx_bassdude
4) Load the VST3 version of bx_bassdude plugin

The factory presets now showup in the dropdown.

However, it still doesn't resolve the issue that DP 11.1 does NOT work with the VST2 version and see the VST2 presets like other Windows DAWs do.

On a side note, I use VST2 as my primary format on both macOS and Windows so I can share projects. I have a feeling, the VST2 issue will happen under macOS. So, as a workaround, I may have to use VST3 format.

BTW, I have no problem loading the AU, VST 2 and VST 3 versions on my Mac with the factory presets in DP 11.01, the current version. If there's a DP 11.1, we haven't seen it yet.

I'm not on Windows but the first thing I would check is if Brainworx's bx_bassdude plugin doesn't save presets in another location from the rest of your VSTs. Brainworx like a lot of companies have their own preset format separate from VST, so that when you share a preset it can be opened on Mac with AU or in Pro Tools with AAX etc.

So Brainworx might've stored them somewhere weird...

Correct. I have all of them on one year subscription and checked a few at random including the one you have. Factory presets showed up every time in every format.

I’m using this year to test drive the Bx plugs and will use my credits to purchase the ones I’ll keep.

So, what I have concluded with testing on my systems is that DP 11.02 -- both macOS (under Catalina) and Windows 10, does NOT support the VST 2.4 factory presets.

The VST 3 format works with DP 11.02 under macOS with no fiddling. Under Windows 10, you have to copy the VST3 format factory presets into the DP's prescribed directory, as I mentioned above previously.

Since Brainworx VST 2.4 plugins do not have a built-in preset browser, for whatever reason, DP 11.02 cannot/will not locate the factory presets for the VST 2.4 format plugins.

Ableton Live 10 & 11 and Reason 11 have NO issues correctly locating the VST 2.4 factory presets-- which are actually embedded within the VST (Brainworx confirmed)

@Mike -- if you got the VST 2.4 formatted plugins working under macOS with DP 11.02, I would surely like to know how. Thanks!
