How to force my album to play in the right order.

Post by NealF »

Hi.

I'm about to release a new album and I was wondering if there's a way to make it play back in the intended sequence no matter who buys it or what system they're listening on.

I know I can add a number to the beginning of each song and that should work (works in iTunes, at least.)
But I'm not sure if that addition to the title would cause a problem with tracking the album's sales and plays.

Any ideas? Sure would be nice for people to hear it as intended.

Thanks.

That's something you can add to the metadata. Toast, DSP-Q and all the commercial mastering apps of course but it can be done in iTunes, too.

Since I won't be burning CDs I won't be using Toast.

I thought iTunes would be the way to go. Do you think that as long as I fill in the "track_ of _", it'll play back that way on other people's players? Including Windows?

That would make it so much easier.
