Using analog output with SPDIF at the same time on 828 MK2

Post by StabMe »

Hey!

I am using my old 828 Mk2 as a multichannel DAC and i am running out of channels. I was thinking about buying a cheap SPDIF DAC and using SPDIF output of 828 simultaneously with analog output channels. The question is - is it going to be always in sync with the rest of the audio or is it possible that some time errors may happen?

I tried that once, bought one from Amazon, tried it and sent it back. The inexpensive converters designed for home AV have quite a bit of latency.
