Clicks coming from right speaker. This STINKS.

Post by Phil O »

So I've noticed an intermittent clicking in what I thought was my right speaker. It was driving me nuts. Turns out it only sounds like it's coming from the right speaker. It took me a while to figure out it was actually coming from my trash can Mac (which is to the right of my speakers). Odd because it only has a solid state drive. The only moving part is...aha, the fan! Crap. I don't want to even think about what a PIA this repair will be.

Well when I opened it up I found the problem - a live stink bug was in there. He (or she) must have hit the fan blades now and then and make a clicking sound. Amazing that it didn't get blown out. Who'd a thunk it?

Your friendly neighborhood Phil

Yeah, HC. As far as I'm concerned it's a bug, but I'm sure some of our more argumentative members would insist it's a feature.

Was Creature Feature seen across the US? I thought it was a Boston thing.
