That unit has a standalone mode where the analog inputs are routed to the ADAT out. So it's easy to connect one (primary) to the computer via FW and connect the standalone expansion unit via ADAT. That way all the I/O appears under one device. You can also try chaining both units via FW, but not sure how well that works in Windows. The manual is available on the MOTU site.

Make sure that you look at the pdf manual. Search for every mention of clock. You may have to refer to this if sync drifts or you get audio anomalies.
