Did my first band video via zoom. I had given them a click, they recorded the parts and sent to me via Dropbox. I assembled in DP 10.11. I used that for the sound and recorded the band video. When the meeting ended, it saved the videos to my iMac (I imagine that was much faster than saving to the cloud, my other choice).

When I opened up the mp4, I expected the audio to suck and was not disappointed. Ok, I have apps for that.

Post, I could have used FCPx, of course, but I elected to use Adobe Premiere Elements because a) it's inexpensive (extra $20 when bundled w/ Photoshop Elements) and b) promised that tasks like this would be simple and fast. I opened it up, trimmed the beginning, muted the audio and imported my master audio—all intuitive. Likewise, the Export menu was intuitive. I've owned this for many years but this is the first time I ever used it.

It took awhile to realize that I had to use the Option key to slide (click-drag) and nudge (arrow keys) the audio to sync with the video and Save. Never found that in the Help files but I figured it out.

I had the choice of syncing with the band or with myself. As I wasn't the lead singer, I lined it up with the band. It was easy to figure out why I was out of sync—they were monitoring off the internet while I was on the host computer making my early. Next time, I'll keep the host audio off after hitting Play and I'll monitor from my laptop.

I did not have to use Soundflower or Loopback with DP. If your sample Rate is 48k there's no need.
