Re: DP 10.1 out - Uninstalling 10.01 breaks Welcome screen

I discovered that if you already installed 10.1, then uninstalling 10.01 breaks the "Welcome" screen in 10.1, throwing a script error and removing all the javascript links and texts. The only solution (in Windows anyway) is to uninstall 10.1 and re-install it, as using "Repair" in 10.1 does not fix this problem. I have reported it to MOTU tech support by phone this morning.

Also, as mentioned in the thread also here on that subject, in the Windows version of 10.01 the expired certificate problem remains, affecting the uninstall process, and preventing it from completing. The fix is to temporarily set your clock back to September, uninstall, then set the clock back to the current month. Tech support has no idea whether it is on the radar of the higher-ups to fix that certificate and get a new one. They also did not (until I told them this morning) know that the certificate issue prevented uninstalling as well as installing.

Two minor and liveable bugs in an otherwise splendid update.
