Finally Back

Post by ssp »

It has been some time since I was last on the forum due to family health issues which are now resolved.

My studio is primarily Windows based around 8 core systems I still have my Mac and that is also in use.

Some will remember that I designed and built the BPM controller hardware a while ago and was active in the forum helping new users.

If I can help with any windows based MOTU issues then please let me know, if it is a legacy hardware issue for use with windows or drivers I will try and help.

I am still designing and building studio equipment , controllers and hardware.
Also helping clients with new Vienna Ensemble Pro servers and storage solutions here in the U.K.

Really glad the forum is still going strong!!

Looking forward to being active again (time allowing!!)

Thanks

I'm sure he means in the Cheech and Chong sense where it applies to just about anything that breathes, and some things that don't

And technically, "y'all" only applies to a group of them there folks. Wow. They had the "them there/their" thang down in the ole' West. Yup.

Yeah, it's a huge bugbear of mine, this calling-people-"they"-when-referring-to-an-individual thing. You see it everywhere.

It's like nobody went to school... or just didn't listen / learn anything, or... is a lacky and blindly follows the heard. Notice I used the singular there 'cause "nobody" is "no body", abbreviated?

LOL Same here. I do get funny looks from chicks who don't know me sometimes, but that ain't gonna change my M.O. (it never has before, and you get used to it lookin' like I do).

I admit I do differentiate between the two sexes (yeah, I'm a luddite 'cause I can only detect two, not 72 or whatever the latest figure is). Guess you're right, Magilla.

The use of "man" is fine by me... "I am that I am " sorta sounds a bit to formal.. lol

Agreed. There's Man and The Man. That's all we need.

To get back on topic, welcome to ssp. I'll be interested in any advice available on how to set up a reliable Windows installation for audio.

One thing James has always understood well is that creative types tend to wander a little, especially when it comes to analogising, but as we know, "pro's" come full-circle, returning to the subject/s at-hand in good time...
