Access Denied (-5000) - (Topic moved to Windows section)

Post by Tomas E »

Digital Performer has encounted an error.

OS error reported by File I/O:

Access Denied. Insufficient access privileges for the operation. (-5000)

Additional information:
D:\searchstring...\Analysis Files\Audio-1-02-14 Files\overview_waveform
I get this error message after opening Mac projects on my Windows computer and after having to select new MIDI destinations. I don't however think that MIDI destinations have anyting to do with the issue.

Anyone who knows what to do?

I've used APFS for Windows to make the Mac disk readable and copied my projects to the second drive.

DP launches and I also have a movie that loads into the Movie Window. The waveform of the soundbite is visible in the tracks overview as well as in the sequence editor but "disabled" so to say. The soundbite has no name by the way, that field is empty, only the audio file has it's name.

Just to make sure I made a test-recording by adding an audio-track to a new project. That worked just fine. So there seems to be something that has to be done with permissions on the originally Mac projects. Just don't know what and where to do it.

I can however load the audio file (with no soundbite name) into a new project and successfully play it back.

Resolved.

I had to delete the analysis files to make DP create new ones.
