Polyverse Comet - intro price at Sweetwater

Post by Basstrup »

Polyverse Comet - morphing reverb - $99 at Sweetwater.

You need another reverb? This one has a couple of things which sets apart from other verbs. All parameters can be controlled via MIDI or CV - it integrates with Polyverse Gatekeeper for rhythmically control of parameters. And it actually sounds dang good in a dense mix.

I made a short demo in DP. All synths are Sugar-Bytes Aparillo. One instance of Gatekeeper is used on a pad and the two instances of Comet...

Analog is great... We got both WOW and Flutter - what's your bias?

Kush Audio Sale

Post by Rick Cornish »

Hey.....
Just received a notice of a Labor Day sale from Kush Audio. Of particular note are their three Omega transformer models (which are saturation devices) for $22 each. I have one, which has been occasionally useful, and am thinking of grabbing the other two.

On through Tuesday at http://www.thehouseofkush.com/store.

Being old and schooled in the analog world, I use PSP Triple Meter (especially the RMS tab) every time I mix.

Half price ($14.99 instead of $29) through 9/26.

Izotope Elements 8 Free through October 2, 2019

Post by mikehalloran »

The release of Ozone 9 is just around the corner. To celebrate, we're giving away Ozone Elements version 8 for free.

Get a great sounding final master with processing powered by machine learning, along with special discount pricing for Ozone 9 when it's released!

https://www.izotope.com/en/products/dow ... nouncement

I use Ozone 8 Advanced so I have no idea how useful 8 Elements is... but you can’t knock the price. And you’re eligible for a discount on 9 when released? Well, if they’re gonna twist arms...

I don’t remember what the bargain price was when I bought it — or when — but I often check my mixes through it.

I like how PSP discounts are added if you’ve bought from them before so, for some, the price should be less.

Posts like this remind me to go in and download the latest updates. Thanks!

Interesting that PSP is going to iLok after swearing up and down that there’s no problem with their old license manager (yea, right and I told them what the problems were, too). You don’t need the dongle, just the free iLok app unless you want to make the license portable, of course.

I have this LogicTech G502 mouse (I have two, actually) and I really like it. It's very programmable. Between Steer Mouse software, and Logitech's own configuration software, this mouse is incredibly capable! 11 programable buttons! Feels good in the hand, very tweakable weight and action.

It's now $35 for this special edition. (Not clear how this edition differs from the regular version).

I got the Concert Strings bundle on sale a couple of years ago and was less than thrilled with them. Does anyone see any must-haves here?

Neunaber makes this wonderful reverb pedal called "Immerse MkII". It features a special reverb called W3T (so named as it is version 3 of their Wet algorithm); among others.

I like this pedal and in some A/B comparisons, thought it sounded as comparable to lexicon reverbs but with different kind of character and complexity.

Neunaber just released a plugin version of this W3T reverb, with a few added features like EQ and damping controls. It's currently introductory-priced at $49 (full price $99).

Honestly, I can't say how it compares to other reverbs and I know there are LOTS of them. And you may not need another gosh darn reverb, or DO you? There is some demo audio on this page, but I didn't find it very helpful. However, there is a fully-functional 15-day trial.

https://neunaber.net/products/wet-reverberator-plug-in

It's a cool company. They sell brilliantly designed, great sounding, well-built devices. I expect this reverb will do what it says on the tin and then some.

Sounds pretty good to me but I really don't need another reverb. I snagged this last year for (I think $49). If it is ever offered again and you don't have it, get it! There really is nothing like it.

Eventide stuff is great. Also love the Blackhole... and now there's this:

http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info ... ts_id=1216

The demo seems to leave a lot of EQ artifacts, IMO. Anyone use this? 4149 is not all that much if it does what it says it does. I'm just not convinced by the video and hesitant to d/l yet another demo.
