Conductor Track weirdness

Post by SMS »

As you can see in the screen shot, there is a key change at bar 50, as seen in the event list. Note, however, that it shows at Bar 44 in the Tracks Overview. Hmm. The one at Bar 42 shows up properly both places. All other Condustor Track events seem to be displaying properly.

FWIW, I've had various issues with the conductor track not displaying correctly in the tracks overview from DP8 and DP9. Whole sections with tapped tempo just showing nothing in the TO. May or may not be related. Just to let you know it has been ongoing for me. I've just been conditioned not to trust what I see there.

Thanks, Stub. Experimented a bit last night, and even changing the location of the key change doesn’t affect it showing up at bar 44- very odd. Obviously the key change doesn’t affect playback anyway but it seems to just be a display glitch.

Is this a project started in an earlier version of DP? Does it persist if you import the sequence into a new project? I can't reproduce this. Tried to fool it with things like impossible sequence start and end times but no dice. There seem to be a lot bugs that happen on some systems and not others -- maybe its some basic corruption of project files aggravated by version changes.

Hope you post a bug report with MOTU

This was a brand new project… I haven’t tried loading it into a new project... There actually a bunch of tempo changes (synched to an imported track), but I tried deleting all the tempo changes and it had no effect...,

Since this is not affecting my work I’m not gonna spend any more time trying to solve it for now .... deadlines looming!

I had a similar issue in the Drum Editor. I placed a loop at measure 1. The loop played correctly and showed up in the correct position in the Sequence Edit and MIDI Edit windows but displayed in the wrong position in the Drum Edit window. The problem doesn't show up when I open the project in 10.01.
