DP10 manual

Post by Jimi »

Hi everyone

First post here so hope it's in the right place but just wondered if MOTU were printing DP10 manuals as hardcopies? Can't find any anywhere and would love to do a little offline study without printing 1000+ pages.

Cheers all!

The box comes with the quick start guide — I assume but never opened the box as it, the User Guide, Plug-ins Guide and other manuals are all in .pdf available from within DP, from the web site and other sites that scrape and store these things since DP 8. You can save them for viewing in your browser, a pdf viewer, your tablet etc.

Learn how to use a searchable .pdf file and you’ll never miss the thousand page manual again.

EXCEPT in DP! In DP it's the filter and your data can become invisible. You've been warned!

I don't miss the printed manual, but I do miss hunting for trolls. Besides, my manuals have been flagged...

Back in the Middle Ages the DP manual was hand scribed, one at a time, by monks. I'm guessing the monks raised their rates.

Thanks for replies everyone.

I do have the DP8 manual that came with the boxed version, I just wanted a new hardcopy DP10 manual that I could read over breakfast! I guess maybe PDF on a tablet will have to do. Just a shame MOTU don't sell them separately from their website.

Might be nice to have the option, but does anyone produce a printed manual (of the size a DAW manual would be)? PDF manuals is the original reason I got an iPad Mini. Same width as a standard toilet tank.

I have a decent printer, so I printed all 900+ pages of the DP 9 User Guide (2-sided). Had it comb-bound into 2 volumes at the local purveyor of office services at a cost of maybe $60. I like having the book open.
