Mic/setup Issues

Hoping someone can help!! I have a moto 828mk3hybrid I finally got everything set up working properly with my DAW (cakewalk sonar) however I get no sound from my microphone even though it registers on the mic input meter....phantom power is turned on....audio from the DAW comes through. Just switched from a mixer and ready to record but can't....help please....
