Flat earplugs

Post by obliou »

Hello,
I'm going in a live sound situation fairly soon that's going to require me to get earplugs. This is a heavy metal concert and I really need to protect my hearing. However, I hate the cheap foam earplugs I have because they cut out a lot of frequencies. I know there are earplugs on the market that reduce dBs but don't cut out a lot of Hz. I'm just wondering what you all use.

Thanks!

Some of the ones they make for shooting have little valves in them that close when an impulse is detected, and pass the un-attenuated sound otherwise. Not sure how they work with music, though.

The ER-20 works great.
