Beginner's Guide to Digital Performer 9.5

Post by joeystix »

Hello Everyone:
Is there one topic or forum or video or book or location other than the user manual that explains how to use the latest version of Digital Performer 9.5 for Windows 10 from scratch if you've never used it before?
I'm migrating over from Sonar.
Anywhere: Here, the net, a book on Amazon. Anything. I learn by step by step progressive fashion.
Motu TV videos are all over the map.
Thanks for your help,
Joe

Over at Groove3.com, there are 2 tutorials on DP8. Pretty close to 9.5 in a lot of respects.

EDIT: And one for DP 9.

Hey Joey,
Welcome! Have you gone through the "Getting Started" PDF that's included with DP? You can get to it easily through DP's launch screen.

I agree! Eli Krantzberg's Groove3 videos are very helpful.

These books came out shortly after DP 8. Now that Magic Dave is no longer with MOTU, it's highly unlikely that these will be updated but most of it is still good:

I think Eli’s video at Groove3 are still the best resources out there. Almost all of it is still applicable.

Thank You all for your advice and suggested resources. I will give groove 3 a try and the getting started book. I learn best from hands-on instruction but that's not an option.
Thanks again!
