Processing Meter in Red - No Effects/No Processing -RESOLVED

Post by bcgreen24 »

Can someone PLEASE tell me what's going on here (see image)?

Image

I noticed that out of the blue, this project started showing a 'Processing' level of 100%-- even when the project wasn't playing. Very small project, not many effects.

So-- I stripped out ALL the effects AND virtual instruments...no change. And there is nothing being processed in the background.

I opened up a different project-- processing level looks normal (very low) when playing (or not).

Now I cannot work with this project anymore, or even just play it due to crackles in the audio because of this. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks!

Is it possible there’s some kind of audio or MIDI loop happening?

Ah HA! I had a track that was rewired to a non-existent instance of Reason; once I changed the output of that track to something else, the problem went away.

Thanks for helping me work through this!
