Hello everyone, here is a new DP user , I'm trying to import an orchestra score as a MIDI file, but everytime parts are not correct: for example,if in my orchestra I have, in order, flutes, horns and harp, when I import it in DP, these parts are now in a new order, like: flutes, [empty], harp. And who knows where are my horns?
In fact, my orchestra is a little big (74 parts) and if parts are not in the correct order is quite impossible to set them correctly.
A friend of mine told me it was depending on the order of staffs in the original score, so I made a new score with a perfect order of staffs, without copying MIDI informations from the first score, and I imported it in DP, but there was the same error. Some tracks where separeted from the others, and their location was not correct. Any help?

Re: Importing score as a MIDI file
Check out Chapter 2 in the User's manual.
It might help.
And when your orchestra score (from Finale?) was exported as a MIDI file, was the "Format 1 - separate tracks" enabled?
That's all I have right this minute!

Re: Importing score as a MIDI file
Ye I'm using Finale and I saved the file as a MIDI with separated tracks. I
read the chapter but it only says you can import a general MIDI file, it
doesn't talk about this problem. However, when I'm opening the file, it says:
"some MIDI assignments could not be found in the current MIDI configuration.
Make sure that these substitutions are correct"; then it show old and new
assignments, but I can't do anything about that, so I don' t know what to do..
