Smells Like an Upgrade?

Post by Rick Cornish »

Since its been—according to a friend of mine—something like 1,000 days since the last major Mac Pro upgrade (perhaps the longest such interval ever), the good folks at TwelveSouth have come to our aid with a candle that purportedly smells like a freshly unboxed Mac.

Can't say I can conjure up any olfactory recall of my last unboxing, so the smell must not have made much of an impression. I'm sure my other senses were working harder at that moment.

Did we need this? Certainly not. But apparently enough people have wanted one that they're presently sold out.

I haven't bought a new Mac since 2004. Used much cheaper. Once they got fast enough they
became just like guitars and cars.
Used 2012 Mac Pro 3.33 6 Core 16g ram 10.8.5 DP 7.24
