I still have bad dreams where I hear the sound of BBs bouncing on a table, and it is indistinguishable from the Ovation piezo pickup. Faint cries are heard in the distance..."Mic me! Mic me!"

I agree. I've never heard an acoustic with built-in pickup that I've liked. Even if you're using a guitar amp. You can plug an sm57, i5, or instrument mic of your choice into a matching transformer (http://www.markertek.com/product/10-99/ ... mer-9-inch) and into your amp, and it will sound better than a built in pickup. Not the ideal situation, mind you, but still better that a pickup. JMHO
