Obviously a graphic bug. You can tell they are the level meters for a stereo track. Weird stuff like this can happen. When it does, I tickle the GUI by showing/hiding the track selector or resizing the window and move on. Unless you can figure out steps to reproduce this glitch and send it to MOTU, these things are tough to track down. :(

Yea, it's weird...no matter what I do it stays there. I close the sidebar and now it's on top of the faders, etc. Only happens every now and then since I went to DP 8.

I don't think I've ever seen this one, myself. Bizarre.

Well, you are brighter than I. Didn't even realize that it was the stereo meter.

Next time it happens, it might be interesting to see if you have a mixing board channel that is *missing* its level meters? Or... if you see level indicated on them and can figure out what track it might be associated with. You could try reinstalling DP 8.07 and see if this goes away, but that would be a shot in the dark.

Is it specific to one theme?

I had some graphic anomalies while using Voxengo Span some time ago. When the Span window was open and I moved it, it would leave some elements behind, just like your orphaned stereo meters. The thing is, once this happened, other anomalies would start to happen to DP's GUI, and only relaunching DP would make it go away. The problem went away with an update from Voxengo.

The reason I mention this is so you don't rule out the possibility of some plug-in causing the problem.

Well, I only use the Producer theme, so I could not be sure.

That is weird! Before you take any more drastic measures, have you tried simply changing themes? That might 'refresh' things graphically.
