The audio hardware did not respond! RESOLVED

Post by hrw »

Every time i launch Digital Performer i'm getting this message and then spinning beach ball of death and it won't go any further.
I have an Apogee Duet 2 which is working fine with my other DAW Studio One.
I've repaired disk permissions etc. Very frustrating. Anyone seen this before or know any solutions.
This is the message that comes up:
The audio hardware did not respond. (MotuAudioSystem Mas
MasCoreAudioWorkThread.cpp,148
[57:0])

It's happening with DP8.01 and 7.24. Never had this issue before.

Just updated to DP 8.03 and all the Apogee Duet software same problem. I've restarted and repaired permissions again. This is not good. :(

I Just went through this in a OS upgrade. When you go to Audio MIDI Set-up, if there is anything else showing up, it is the cause (imo) Euphonix drivers would not let my Ensemble load correctly. Deleted that and Apogee loaded correctly.

Worth a try. Apogee and Mac usually play nice together

Thanks, looks normal i think. Nothing else except for Duet 2 showing up there more or less. This is a mystery! I really need to fix it by tomorrow or i have a disaster on my hands!

Seems your only option is to call MOTU tech support first thing Monday morning. Since your Duet is working with Studio One, this is obviously
related to DP or MOTU drivers.

Ok. i unplugged the Duet. Opened DP without it. Then plugged DUET 2 back in but it crashed. Next time i opened DP it was with the built in output that it then allowed me to change to the Duet.
This was all a major hassle but i got there in the end. Hope this helps if anyone gets the same issue.
Best, Haydn.
