unable to open forum topics

Post by greeny »

Since today each time I wish to open a topic for reading I'm confronted with this message:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

User jamesste_motunat already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections [1203]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

I have no clue of the meaning of it, but all I notice is that reading items on the forum is not possible.

That happens on occasion. It will usually pass in a minute or two. I will look into it.

It too passes. It may be intended to give us time to think... and drink more coffee, practice, spend time with small animals, etc. Think of it as a public service. :)

With over 36k members and 40+k topics, and now with the Windows folks joining in, the servers are probably buzzing like a bee hive. Every so often, we get a little sting, but there's a lot of honey here too.

Yeah... at some point, finances not withstanding, I may need to opt for a co-located server, etc. I might have a connection in that regard, but I have no experience configuring a server, so we'll see. Cross that bridge, as they say...
